Reading progress update: I've listened 18 out of 180 minutes.

Silently and Very Fast - Catherynne M. Valente

(I have no idea how long this actually is, just that the first part is 65 minutes long.)

I decided to make this my work-time listening for the next few days. Whether I finish it or not, I think I'm going to need to reread it in print form in order to catch everything that I'm probably missing. It begins with mythology. Possibly a mythological explanation for the creation of robots? Then it becomes a story from the point of view of, I think, an AI, who is remembering its previous owners and the bodies it was made to inhabit. Right now, it's remembering the time it was a house.

It's very much not the sort of thing I usually read, but I can't say yet whether that's good or bad.
