The magic is unusual and interesting. I'm not nearly as much of a fan of the writing style, or the slightly surreal feeling that everything in this world seems to have (which may be a product of Hiresha's sleeping disorder).
I just got to the bit that explains the book's title. These pregnancies are freaky.
