I'm a librarian who loves anime, manga, and reading a wide variety of genres.
Notes so far:
- Looks like the anime was a pretty faithful adaptation. The main differences so far are the framing scene (a modern day Japanese man talking to an immortal, instead of a 1930s reporter talking to a little girl) and a few details in the panhandler scene.
- This book is almost entirely dialogue.
- The translation/writing is rough. Readable, but some parts are unnecessarily confusing and everyone's dialogue feels about the same. I expected this, but it's still a shame.
