I'm a librarian who loves anime, manga, and reading a wide variety of genres.
Quick review, with a longer one hopefully coming soon: This started off fairly strong, despite its dated dialogue and details. Unfortunately, it soon became a bit of a grind. Criminal masterminds these teens were not. Yes, that goes for Mark too. Eventually I just wanted the whole thing to come to its awful conclusion. My final rating will probably be 2.5 stars - it wasn't terrible enough for a lower rating, and there were a couple nicely (?) gut-wrenching moments. Oof, that ending.
Squares on my Bingo card that this would work for:
- Murder Most Foul: This isn't exactly a murder mystery since you know exactly what happened and how, but there is certainly murder.
- Genre: Suspense: The genre that I think fits this book the best.
- Terrifying Women: It was written by a female author.
