My Nook Simple Touch behaved itself for the rest of the book. I'm finished and plan to write a full review soon. For now:
It was good - lots of political maneuvering, action, and Eldritch culture. I'm not entirely sure how I'll rate it yet, but I think it's the best of Hogarth's works I've read so far. I just wish the shift in Reese's behavior hadn't been so jarring. It's like she morphed into a new woman. One who didn't make me grind my teeth quite so much, but still.
And, yes, it looks like there's romance on the horizon. First, though, everyone has to survive.
