The Calculating Passion of Ada Byron - Joan Baum

I forgot to mark it down, but I think at one point in Code Runner it's mentioned that Amy is an Ada Lovelace fan. Pretty much everything I know about Lovelace comes from here, so I decided it'd be nice to give a book about her a try. Who knows how long it will last - although it's less than a hundred pages if you don't count the notes and appendices, I tend to be terrible about finishing nonfiction books.

Based on what I've read so far, I think Rosie Claverton's Amy might have been partially inspired by Ada Lovelace. "Said to be courteous, sociable, and charming, Ada Lovelace could also seem strange, reclusive, and moody." (xvii) The first half only fits Amy under special circumstances, and even then you might have to squint a bit, but the second half is definitely Amy.
