I'm a librarian who loves anime, manga, and reading a wide variety of genres.
Marley: 60+ years old, rich, eccentric, and a pacifist with enough clout to force vampires and other dangerous beings to follow her rules. She just hired her ex-soldier nephew, not so he could be her muscle, but rather so he could open doors for her and hold her umbrella.
I'm still a bit torn on this. On the one hand, I love the idea of it. On the other hand, the story has been slow to get going, and some aspects of Connolly's writing style bug me.
