July 2015 reviews

— feeling happy

This was an excellent reading month for me, not necessarily because of the amount I read, but because I enjoyed so much of it.

The best thing I read and reviewed this month was Ann Leckie's Ancillary Justice (also Ancillary Sword, although I haven't gotten around to reviewing it yet). I'm both looking forward to and dreading the final book in the trilogy. I hope it's a truly satisfying conclusion, and has great gobs of Breq interacting with her crew members, Seivarden, and Mercy of Kalr.

The worst thing I read and reviewed this month was Ana J. Phoenix's The Alpha and His Ace. It was clunky, and the POV character spent more time lusting and fretting than getting to know Aidan.
