(Non-book post)

My sister and I arranged to meet up today! I didn't want to post about this earlier, in case stuff came up and she changed her mind. I got to see her, her husband, and their two little girls and baby boy. This was my first time meeting my nephew and youngest niece.

It was basically an entire day outside my comfort zone, and I'm exhausted. We met up at the zoo, which is about an hour and a half away from where I live. I'm an extremely nervous driver, and I also wasn't sure how well I'd do with the kids (I have almost no experience with kids and have never wanted any of my own), so I was a giant ball of anxiety. I managed the drive there and back, and, even though I'm an awkward aunt, the kids thought I was great just for existing. Both my nieces wanted me to hold their hands as they walked. So sweet.

So it was a good day, even though my legs feel like limp noodles right now.
