Emperor Mollusk Versus the Sinister Brain - A. Lee Martinez, Scott Aiello

I keep having to pause to go do stuff that requires more attention on my part, but I'm really enjoying this. So far there has been:

- an evil(er) clone

- "jet pack assassins"

- an ultrapede (like a centipede, only much larger and capable of biting through weaponry)

- a female character who looks like a feathered reptile

The relationship between Emperor Mollusk and Zala (the feathered reptile) reminds me a little of Artemis Fowl and Holly Short, only Emperor Mollusk doesn't even have a twinge of shame.
