I'm a librarian who loves anime, manga, and reading a wide variety of genres.
Wheaton is nice to listen to, and he puts a good amount of emotion in characters' voices, but I keep forgetting who's supposed to be speaking every few minutes. Or sometimes every few seconds. The voices, for the most part, aren't distinct.
I think this is my second book by Scalzi. So far, the pattern seems to be that I'm not necessarily emotionally invested in what's happening, but at least it's entertaining. Although I feel a little embarrassed saying that, since a good portion of what I've listened to so far was an elaborate fart joke.
