TV show: Atelier

I started watching Atelier the other day, a Japanese show developed for Netflix. It feels like watching a live action adaptation of a jousei manga, but I've checked, and I think it's actually an original series.

Never has there been a show with so much lingerie and so few dudes around to comment on it and ogle ladies wearing it. That said, the two episodes I've seen have had some odd moments. And lots of cheesy moments. And moments when Mayuko would probably have been fired in the real world. (Or possibly arrested. I'm amazed that model wasn't more creeped out.)

But so far it's a weird cheesiness that's mostly working for me. I giggled at the over-the-top heartwarmingness of a young mother's life being changed by a really good bra.
