Fellowship of Fantasy ABC Challenge - A & B

The original post is here.

This would be a tiny bit easier if it were fantasy and sci-fi, rather than just fantasy. Ah well, I did my best.

My choice for A:

It was a toss up between Angharad from Robin McKinley's The Blue Sword (technically cheating, since she goes by Harry), Adora Belle Dearheart from Terry Pratchett's Discworld books, and Alberich from Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar books. I settled on Adora Belle Dearheart, because I like her anger and tough-as-nails defense of golems and their rights.

My choice for B:

I could barely think of any "B" fantasy characters I like. I settled on Beshelar, from Katherine Addison's The Goblin Emperor. He's stern and disapproving at the beginning of the book but later reveals himself to be a secret softie.
