Fellowship of Fantasy ABC Challenge - O

The original post is here.

I just realized I hadn't written a post for today yet.

"O" is another really bad letter for me. In this case, really, really bad. I started googling character lists for some of my favorite fantasy worlds, hoping for a character whose named started with "O" who I could remember and who I at least vaguely liked. Not even the Discworld could save me.

I'm going to go with Odd Thomas from Dean Koontz's Odd Thomas series. I suppose the books are more thrillers than fantasy, but I don't want to have to go hunting for another name starting with "O." Anyway, Odd is a short-order cook who can see spirits and freaky beings he calls "bodachs." I recall him being likable, but also the kind of guy who would normally fade pleasantly into the background if it weren't for his special abilities.
