I'm a librarian who loves anime, manga, and reading a wide variety of genres.
Hm. Still an enjoyable series overall. The first part of the volume was nice, but a little too removed from the main storyline and a little too serious to be fun despite that. Some good educational aspects, though. The rest of the volume was devoted to Shizuku's quest for wines for his part of the "Italy vs. France" challenge.
Shizuku was indirectly pitted against Issei Tomine a few times throughout the volume, in preparation for the more direct challenge at the end: the two of them finally read Shizuku's father's will. Shizuku's best chance of finding the first of what his father called the "Twelve Apostles" is, unfortunately, a woman with amnesia.
During this volume it dawned on me that it isn't just the time limits that are a problem for Shizuku, it's the cost. Even with his convenient position in his company's new wine department and his many convenient wine-possessing friends, finding lots of wines to taste isn't cheap.
