I'm doing my umpteenth re-listen of this, and I can't believe I never noticed the huge plot hole involving Mrs. Knight (Night?). Oskar (Oscar?) went to the store specifically to get her some tea. When he came back, yes, the supposed storm damage would have required his immediate attention, but he should have noticed that Mrs. Knight wasn't around more quickly than he did.
