Ash Ock - Christopher Hinz

There's a brand new female POV character in this book, and she's so shallow it's painful. On the run from a killer who may be a Paratwa, and she's stressing herself to pieces trying to figure out how to go on a previously scheduled date so her social standing isn't damaged. On one level, I get it. She's had several events that spun her world out of control, and this is an area of her life she can feel like she has control over. But still. High likelihood of being killed should trump date night.

And also, Jerem is back. He's an old man now, and no longer whines, but he's embarrassingly fixated on Gillian. Ugh.
