I'm a librarian who loves anime, manga, and reading a wide variety of genres.
This story has taken ages to get going - it was only at the halfway point that Lawrence finally learned he was in trouble.
On the plus side, unlike with the first book, I can actually understand the economics stuff. For the most part. Lawrence bought goods that should have guaranteed him a tidy profit. Unfortunately, he didn't know at the time that the value of those goods had dropped to one tenth of what it had been. He has two days to pay back his debt, or he'll be stripped of all his possessions and sold into slavery.
Now if only all this exciting stuff had happened 50+ pages sooner. It's a race against time, as I rush to finish this and review it before my library due date.
